Campus and community organizations that provide students the opportunity to engage in both hands-on and policy related work for international development and poverty alleviation will provide information at the Global Service Fair on summer and on-going options to students in the Global Poverty and Practice Minor and to any student on campus who wishes to attend.

Information Sessions
Several organizations will lead specific information sessions regarding the programs they offer. Attend these sessions for a more in-depth presentation of such programs and you'll also have the opportunity to interact with program representatives during these 45-minute sessions. All information sessions will take place in the Tilden Room of the MLK Student Union.
International Education Programs

IEP offers semester and summer, and short term service and academic programs and arranges customized internships, service-learning opportunities, and group programs in an array of destinations. Our programs foster international exchange and cultivate educated global citizens, and many are specifically designed to promote social and economic development, empower communities, and protect the environment.
Program Countries: Australia, Austria, Belize, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Thailand.
Program Sectors: Community development, healthcare, environmental protection, education, NGO’s, Businesses, art, advocacy.
Global Service Corps
1:50-2:35pm
Volunteer abroad in Tanzania, Thailand or Cambodia with Global Service Corps, a successful leader in international volunteering and service-learning since 1992. Volunteer in Africa or Asia in programs such as: Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security; HIV/AIDS Education, Prevention and Nutrition; International health; Community Development; Teach English Abroad; Buddhist immersion; and Orphan Care. Our in-country staff, host family and local accommodation, and year-round volunteer and internship opportunities make GSC the most unique and ground-level community organization since the Peace Corps.
Program Countries: Tanzania, Thailand and Cambodia.

Tata-Berkeley Symposium

Highlighting the outstanding work of the 2009 Tata International Social Entrepreneurship Scheme fellows, the Tata-Berkeley Symposium will feature panels on work completed this past summer with the Tata Group on Self Help Groups, Water Harvesting and Rural Health. Global Poverty and Practice Minor students who participated in similar global practice experiences with other non-governmental organizations and community groups this summer will also be featured as panelists.
