We celebrate the life of Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States.
We send our condolences to his family and friends — especially to our esteemed Trustee John Hardman, who served alongside him for over 20 years as CEO of the Carter Center.
As President, he worked to find solutions to international conflicts, to advance human rights and democracy, and to promote economic development. After leaving the White House, he continued this work at the Carter Center to “Wage Peace, Fight Disease, Build Hope” for people across the world.
Thank you, Mr. President, for a life well lived in service of others. We at the Blum Center continue to be inspired by your work.
