CoInFEWS Workshop 2020

Native Nations in the US face unique food, energy, water security (FEWS) challenges due to multiple factors including sovereign relations with the federal government, land based values, deep cultural relationships with the environment, lack of access to educational and economic opportunities, and low funding. Opportunities exist for universities to partner with tribal leaders to co-innovate on appropriate and sustainable FEWS solutions. CoInFEWS with Native Nations will allow students and Native Citizens to jointly study, analyze and innovate solutions for Native American Nations in rural areas.
